Gen 5 DOD Delete Kit

The Texas Speed & Performance Gen 5 DOD Delete Kit is engineered to remove the Displacement on Demand (DOD) or Active Fuel Management (AFM) system from your Gen 5 6.2L LT1, LT4, L86, L87, and 5.3L L83, L84 engines. This upgrade is crucial for those installing a non-DOD camshaft and is a perfect addition to cylinder head and camshaft packages. The kit includes essential components for the conversion, such as 8 DOD plugs to block off the stacks, a GM Gen 5 head bolt kit, four LS2/LS3/LS7 lifter trays for proper alignment, water pump gaskets, a front crank seal, and choice of GM Gen 5 head gaskets. Optional components like VVT Camshaft Bolts, Balancer Bolts, and Valley Cover Gaskets are also available. Installation of this kit requires a custom tune to ensure proper engine performance after disabling the DOD/AFM system. A non-DOD camshaft is a mandatory requirement to complete this upgrade. It is advised to always measure pushrod length after installing new valvetrain components to ensure correct fitment. Additionally, some L84 applications may necessitate shaving down the phaser lockout block for proper integration with later-style phaser assemblies. This kit is specifically designed for 2014+ GM Truck (2015+ SUV) Gen 5 applications only and will NOT fit '07-'13 Gen 4 applications.
