Gen 6 3.0L Supercharger System

The Whipple Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger kit is engineered to significantly enhance the driving experience of 2014-2020 GM SUVs equipped with the 5.3L L83 engine. This system delivers enhanced low-end torque, sharper throttle response, and a stronger pull throughout the RPM range, transforming daily driving, towing, and hauling capabilities. Whipple leverages its extensive experience in twin-screw technology to provide a 50-state legal (CARB EO D-231-65) upgrade that offers substantial airflow and excellent drivability. Central to the kit is Whipple's Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, complemented by an oversized Crusher 112mm inlet designed to maximize airflow and minimize rotor cavitation. The integrated dual-pass, dual-core air-to-water intercooler system, featuring a massive bar-plate core, works with a high-flow intercooler pump and heat exchanger to maintain lower air charge temperatures under demanding conditions. The system also includes a self-contained oil system for reduced operating temperatures and OEM quick-connect fittings for simplified installation. Included with the kit is an LT4 3-bar TMAP sensor, a high-flow filter element, Whipple air inlet tube, and throttle body adapter for 5.3L applications. Calibration is supported through HP Tuners RTD, with the supplied calibration intended for stock, unmodified engines. The product requires 91 octane or better premium fuel and specific spark plugs (Denso ITV22 or NGK 6510 gapped to .032"). Application Notes: This kit is exclusively for 2014-2020 GM SUV applications. It does not fit 2014-2018 truck or 2021-2026 SUV models. For 2017-2020 model years, an HP Tuners unlock service may be required for custom calibration. The supplied calibration does not support long tube headers or cat removal. It is crucial to ensure the intercooler system is fully bled before applying wide-open throttle.
