Gen 6 3.0L Supercharger System

The Whipple Gen 6 3.0L supercharger kit is engineered to transform the driving experience of 2014-2020 GM SUVs equipped with the 5.3L L83 engine. This system delivers substantial low-end torque, immediate throttle response, and improved power throughout the RPM range, making your SUV feel more potent for daily driving, towing, or hauling. At the core of this kit is Whipple's Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, known for its efficient airflow and instant boost. It features an oversized Crusher 112mm inlet and integrates a patented dual-pass, dual-core air-to-water intercooler system. This design, combined with a high-flow intercooler pump and a massive low-temp heat exchanger, ensures charge air temperatures remain low, even under demanding conditions, allowing for more aggressive boost and timing. Installation is aided by OEM quick-connect fittings and the kit includes necessary hardware such as an LT4 3-bar TMAP sensor, a high-flow filter element, and the Whipple air inlet tube. A calibration and HP Tuners RTD flash tool are included for tuning the system to your stock, unmodified engine. Premium fuel (91 octane or better) is required. Application Notes: This kit fits 2014-2020 GM SUV applications only. It does NOT fit 2014-2018 truck or 2021-2026 SUV applications. For 2014-2016 Truck/SUV 5.3/6.2 applications, PCM and TCM read are supported. For 2017-up Truck/SUV 5.3/6.2 applications, PCM read is supported, and TCM unlock may be required depending on transmission configuration. For 2017-2020 model years, an HP Tuners unlock service might be necessary for custom calibration, though it is not required for basic operation. The provided calibration is intended solely for stock engines; long tube headers, catalytic converter removal, or other unsupported modifications are not compatible with the supplied Whipple calibration. Ensure the intercooler system is fully bled before full throttle engagement.
