The Whipple Gen 6 3.0L supercharger kit is engineered to transform the driving experience of 2021-2026 GM SUVs with the 6.2L L87 V8 engine. This 50-state legal system (CARB EO D-231-146) delivers substantial gains, offering up to 685 horsepower and 655 lb-ft of torque when using 93-octane fuel. Whipple's long-standing expertise in twin-screw supercharging, dating back to 1987, is evident in this system's ability to provide significant airflow, sharp throttle response, and increased pull throughout the RPM range. At the heart of the kit is Whipple's Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, featuring an integrated Crusher™ venturi-shaped inlet for optimal airflow and minimal rotor cavitation. The integrated casting design minimizes potential leak points and flow restrictions, while the massive air-to-water bar-plate intercooler and oversized dual-pass heat exchanger work in tandem to maintain low air charge temperatures and support increased boost and timing. The system also includes a high-flow intercooler pump, reservoir, and a complete low-temperature cooling circuit for enhanced efficiency. Installation is facilitated by a complete bolt-on design that integrates with the factory air box and MAF sensor. The kit includes an LT4 3-bar TMAP sensor, a high-flow filter element, and Whipple's air inlet duct. To ensure proper function and compatibility with the Global B electrical system, a PCM unlock service from HP Tuners is required before installation, with specific E90 Global B Service Tags (12703518, 12719704) supported. The system is designed for stock, unmodified, well-maintained engines and requires premium fuel (91 octane or better), with specific spark plug recommendations (Denso ITV22 or NGK 6510 gapped to .032").
