Gen III Hemi Cold-Forged Hydraulic Roller Lifter Set

The construction features a cold-forged steel body with heat treatment for exceptional wear resistance and a precision-ground needle roller bearing with a high-chromium steel axle for durability and minimal friction. Additionally, these lifters boast a cold-forged extra-long piston for controlled leak-down and pump-up, a high-flow disc-style check valve for better high-RPM reaction, and precision oil metering to ensure proper rocker arm oiling without sacrificing oil pressure. All Johnson Lifters are made in the USA and feature "Johnson Lifter" etching. These lifters are compatible with 2003-newer Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep Hemi engines, including 5.7L, 6.1L, 6.2L, and 6.4L V8 models. Specific vehicle applications include Chrysler 300 (2005-2023), Dodge Challenger (2008-2023), Dodge Charger (2006-2023), Dodge Durango (2004-2023), Dodge Magnum (2005-2008), Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup (2003-2010), Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup (2003-2010), Dodge Ram 3500 Pickup (2003-2009), Jeep Grand Cherokee (2005-2023), Ram 1500 (2011-2023), Ram 2500 (2011-2023), and Ram 3500 (2011-2023). Installation requires attention to detail. It is crucial to inspect lifters for damage and ensure rollers spin freely. The MDS system must be physically deleted and programmed out of the PCM. These lifters typically require longer pushrods; measuring for proper length is essential. Recommended pre-load is .035 +/- .010" (or .035 +/- .005" for short travel versions). For aluminum blocks, a longer pre-load might be necessary. It is also recommended to clean the engine's top end to prevent debris contamination, inspect rocker arms, pushrod ends, and valve tips for wear, and change the oil and filter after 50 miles to remove any assembly debris.
