It is best suited for 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, and 6.0 liter engines equipped with cathedral port heads. The Chopacabra cam is designed to work with GM LS6 Beehive Valve Springs and a factory torque converter, requiring no aftermarket stall converter or upgraded rear gear. It operates effectively in a 1200-6500 RPM range.

The Chopaabca 25-TSPCHOPacabra Gen V Truck Camshaft is engineered to deliver an aggressive, snarling sound and substantial performance gains for L83 and L86 engines. This camshaft boasts impressive specifications: 214/228 duration, .582"/.582" lift, a 108 LSA, and a 108 ICL with +10% FPL. It is designed for optimal performance within an operating RPM range of 1200-6500. Experience a noticeable power increase with this camshaft, rated at +58 HP & 22 ft-lbs for the 5.3L engine and +59 HP & 12 ft-lbs for the 6.2L engine (at the crank). However, it requires upgraded valve springs (specifically TSP-VS2227-16) and a phaser lockout for proper operation. No aftermarket stall converter or upgraded rear gear is required.
