Overview

The Brian Tooley Racing Gen V Stage 2 Supercharged Camshaft is designed for excellent power and torque delivery across the curve. It works well in 5.3-6.2L engine combinations utilizing Centrifugal or PDS superchargers, offering more mid-range and top-end power than the Stage 1 cam. This camshaft provides an aggressive idle while remaining suitable for daily driving.

The Brian Tooley Racing Gen V Stage 2 Supercharged Camshaft is engineered to deliver exceptional power and torque throughout the entire RPM range. Specifically designed for 5.3L to 6.2L Gen V LS/LT engines equipped with Centrifugal or PDS style superchargers, this camshaft aims to provide greater mid-range and top-end performance gains compared to its Stage 1 counterpart. It features a 223/24X duration split, .641″/.644″ valve lift, and a 114 LSA, with an intake lobe lift at Top Dead Center of 0.05052 inches. The design also incorporates a 38% fuel lobe and is intended to be locked out, with BTR recommending their VVT lockout bushing. Developed in-house by BTR, these new lobe designs have undergone Spintron and Engine Dyno testing to optimize the overall power curve while ensuring valvetrain stability and durability. Due to the high valve lift and increased RPM potential, the use of BTR dual or conical spring kits is mandatory. For applications involving power adders, hardened pushrods are also recommended. For optimal drivability, an aftermarket torque converter will be necessary.
