Gen V Stage 3 Supercharged Camshaft

The Brian Tooley Racing Gen V Stage 3 Supercharged Camshaft is engineered for performance enthusiasts building aggressive street/strip 5.3L to 6.2L supercharged Gen V LT engine combinations utilizing either centrifugal or Positive Displacement Superchargers (PDS). This camshaft is designed to provide explosive midrange and top-end power, with a power band extending up to 7000 rpm and potentially higher, depending on other engine modifications. Developed in-house by BTR, this camshaft utilizes new lobe designs that have undergone Spintron and Engine Dyno testing to ensure the highest power curve while maintaining strict valvetrain stability and durability. It features a 228/25X duration with .648"/.648" lift and a 113 LSA, with an intake lobe lift at TDC of 0.06079. The camshaft includes a 38% fuel lobe and is designed to be locked out, with BTR recommending their VVT lockout bushing. Due to the high valve lift and increased RPM potential, the use of BTR dual or conical spring kits is required. Hardened pushrods are also recommended for power adder applications. For optimal drivability, an aftermarket torque converter will be necessary. It is critical to note that THIS CAMSHAFT REQUIRES FLYCUTTING THE PISTON WHEN USED IN A L83 APPLICATION.
