The Turbosmart Gen V WG40 Compgate 40 external wastegate represents the fifth generation of Turbosmart's wastegate technology, focusing on enhanced user-adjustability without sacrificing performance. Its design allows for interchangeable actuators, meaning a smaller actuator can be fitted to the larger wastegate body, making it suitable for installations in confined engine bays. The unique variable adjustment system permits the actuator base and cap to be oriented independently of the weld flanges, providing up to 12 positions for precise alignment and convenient fitting of associated hardware. Engineered for superior performance, the Gen V Compgate 40 out-flows its competitors and features improved thermal management over previous models. For applications requiring extreme thermal control, integrated water cooling ports are included. The wastegate utilizes a diaphragm design that ensures linear travel irrespective of spring pressure and valve position, contributing to improved response. It comes with a spring kit for fine-tuning boost levels and is equipped with 1/8″ NPT ports for maximized response and flow while maintaining broad compatibility with various fittings.
