All GEN-Y products are rigorously tested and exceed the SAE J2638 testing requirements. Never exceed recommended capacity on any trailer tow coupling or vehicle receiver hitch. Tow capacity is limited by the lowest-rated component. Average break-in period for hitch is 1,000 miles. When applicable, use a 3/4 pin. CHECK YOUR HOLE PATTERN BEFORE PURCHASE - gooseneck trailers vary significantly from brand to brand, a custom hole pattern may be required for your trailer.

The Gen-Y Hitch GH-7008 Pegasus Torsion-Flex King Pin Coupler enhances towing by isolating the truck from the trailer using TORSION-FLEX technology, providing a smoother and safer ride. This coupler is suitable for flatbed, utility, and enclosed gooseneck trailers. It is taller than standard couplers and is designed for lower profile trailers such as horse or race trailers. The manufacturer states that it may offer fuel savings and decreased tire wear.

This maintenance-free coupler includes a built-in mechanical tongue weight scale and is engineered using SOLIDWORKS. It exceeds SAE-J684 weight testing requirements and features a durable powder coat finish. The design eliminates most surging, bucking, and chucking, reduces trailer and content fatigue, increases the life of truck and trailer electronics, and improves overall safety and ride quality.
