The Pulsar PSR3071 Gen2 Compact Dual Ball Bearing Turbocharger is engineered for performance enthusiasts seeking significant power gains. It boasts a dual ceramic ball bearing system, known for its superior durability and longevity compared to traditional journal bearing turbos. The compressor side features an 8-blade Gen2 billet compressor wheel with Extended Tapered Tip Technology, measuring 54*71mm, and a compact cover with a 3-inch inlet and 2-inch outlet. The turbine side utilizes an Inconel 713c 10-blade wheel and offers a variety of housing options, including T3, T4, and V-band inlets, with 3-inch V-band outlets. This turbocharger is rated for approximately 650 wheel horsepower (FWHP) with a max airflow rate of around 60 lb/min. It is recommended for engine displacements from 1.8L to 3.0L, with specific turbine housing suggestions provided for L-Series, RB25, and 1JZ engines, such as a .63 A/R T3 housing for stock to lightly modified L-Series engines, and a .82 A/R housing for engines with headwork, cams, and larger displacement. Water cooling is highly recommended for optimal durability. Users can select from various compressor and turbine housing configurations, as well as actuator options, including internal wastegates (7, 11.6, or 15 psi) and external wastegates. The package typically includes V-band flange kits for the exhaust housing.
