The unit supports real-time tuning and data logging via laptop, and integrates with most aftermarket wideband sensors.

The MegaSquirt Gen2 PnP ECU is a direct-fit engine management system engineered specifically for the 1994-1995 Mazda MX-5 Miata with a manual transmission. It facilitates a fully plug-and-play installation, eliminating the need for complex wiring for basic operation and averaging under an hour for setup. A pre-loaded base map is included to ensure your engine starts quickly. This system boasts advanced tuning capabilities with 16x16 fuel tables and 12x12 ignition tables for high-resolution control. It supports up to 4 sequential fuel injector channels with individual trim tables (a minor wiring change may be necessary for sequential injection). The ECU includes onboard peak and hold drivers, accommodating both high and low impedance injectors without the need for external ballast resistors. It also allows for the removal of the stock airflow meter and the addition of a variable TPS sensor without special modifications.
