GEN2 PnP ECU

The MegaSquirt Gen2 PnP ECU is a standalone engine management system designed for the 1990-1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata with a manual transmission. It offers fully plug-and-play installation with no wiring required for basic functionality, and comes pre-loaded with a base map for easy engine starting. The ECU supports real-time tuning and data logging via a laptop connection.

Key features include 16x16 fuel tables and 12x12 ignition tables for high-resolution tuning, closed-loop idle speed control, air conditioner control, and support for up to 4 sequential fuel injector channels. It also includes onboard peak and hold drivers for both high and low impedance injectors, allowing for the removal of the stock airflow meter and the addition of a variable TPS. The system can accommodate a wideband O2 sensor for precise tuning and table trim, and features a 2-step rev limiter/launch control with flat shifting. An internal 4-bar MAP sensor supports up to 44 PSI of boost, with overboost protection and closed-loop boost control capabilities. Additional inputs include a knock sensor with adjustable sensitivity, table switching for on-the-fly map changes, and a flex fuel sensor input for E85/gasoline switching. A CANBus connector enables integration with other MegaSquirt-compatible devices.
