This turbo is available with either an SP compressor cover or the Jet Fighter cover, offering various turbine housing options to suit different applications.

The Gen2 PT5558 is a performance-oriented ball bearing turbocharger from Precision Turbo, engineered to support builds up to 650 horsepower. It boasts a Gen 2 7-blade CEA 2618 forged compressor wheel and a 58mm CEA turbine wheel, contributing to enhanced efficiency and responsiveness. This turbocharger offers significant customization through its compressor cover and turbine housing options. Customers can choose between the SP Cover (also known as a ported S cover) or the distinctive Jet Fighter cover, which is noted for an "extra cool sound." A wide array of turbine housing configurations are available, including various T3 and T4 inlets with different outlet types (4-bolt, V-band, 5-bolt) and A/R ratios (.48, .63, .82, .64, .58), as well as stainless steel housing options for increased durability. Key specifications include a 55mm compressor inducer diameter, a 4" compressor inlet coupler, and a 2.5" compressor outlet coupler. For oil feed, it uses a 1/8" NPT fitting, with recommended companion parts for installation. The oil drain features an M8-1.25 bolt size, also with suggested compatible flanges and gaskets from STM. However, as PTE turbos are built to order, typical shipping times are between 1-2 weeks. STM Tuned provides resources for installation, including diagrams for flanges, clamps, and gaskets, to facilitate a proper setup.
