It features an efficient bar and plate intercooler core that helps reduce pressure drop, allowing the turbo to work more efficiently and deliver cooler, denser charge air.

The CTS Turbo CTS-20T-GEN3-DF Front Mount Intercooler Kit is engineered as a direct, drop-in replacement for the factory intercooler, eliminating the need for any bumper trimming or modifications. The OEM intercooler is typically sufficient for stock boost levels, but can struggle to manage charge air temperatures when boost is increased via ECU tuning. Elevated charge air temperatures can lead to issues like boost cut and timing pull, which ultimately reduce engine power output. A lower pressure drop means the turbocharger does not need to work as hard to achieve target boost levels. This improved efficiency not only extends turbocharger lifespan but also ensures that the boost leaving the turbo is cooler and more dense, resulting in increased power to the wheels. The intercooler features cast aluminum end tanks with integrated mounting points, differentiating it from units with welded tanks. The core dimensions are 23.00" Length x 2.00" Tall x 16.5" Height, and it is rated for power levels exceeding 600HP. This intercooler kit is compatible with various Volkswagen models, including the Beetle (2.0T Gen3), Jetta VI Sedan (1.8T Gen3, 2.0T Gen3 GLI), and Jetta VI Sedan Facelift (1.8T Gen3, 2.0T Gen3 GLI).
