Gen3R 2.65L TVS Supercharger Head Unit

The VMP Gen3R head unit is a performance supercharger upgrade for 2011-2017 Coyote 5.0L Mustang GT models currently running an existing VMP or Roush supercharger kit. This item serves as a direct head-unit replacement and includes necessary hardware for installation. Please note that this is not a complete supercharger kit for naturally aspirated vehicles; an existing blower system must be present for proper integration. Technically refined for forced induction applications, the Gen3R utilizes Eaton 2.65L TVS rotors, an all-new casting, and Stage 2 port geometry to provide a smoother airflow path into the rotors. The unit is engineered to support wide-ranging performance goals, from weekend street use to drag strip applications, with the potential to reach 700-1250+ rear-wheel horsepower. It uses a stock GT500 throttle body bolt pattern to improve the short turn radius. Installation requires specific considerations. Users must utilize VMP 6, 8, or 10 rib bolt-on pulleys, and a new supercharger belt may be required if the upper pulley size is changed significantly. VMP recommends using specific throttle bodies, such as the Twinjet 67 mm for 850+ rwhp or the 163R Monoblade for 1000+ rwhp builds. On max-effort setups, VMP advises keeping boost levels low by utilizing aftermarket camshafts and ported cylinder heads to improve engine airflow; running over 27 psi is not recommended, as excessive boost or RPM will void the supercharger warranty.
