Its versatile formulation makes it suitable for a broad spectrum of industrial applications, with a specific recommendation for electric-motor lubrication. This grease offers excellent performance across a wide temperature range. The lithium-complex thickener provides resistance to softening and 'running out' of bearings at temperatures up to 190°C. Laboratory bearing rig tests demonstrate outstanding continuous lubrication performance at temperatures up to 140°C, contributing to extended grease life. Furthermore, it exhibits very good low-temperature characteristics, with start-up power requirements remaining low down to at least -20°C, meeting DIN 51825 low-temperature torque requirements. Key features include excellent mechanical stability, resisting softening due to mechanical working, and superior resistance to water washout and corrosion, thereby protecting bearings. Its channelling characteristics ensure excellent performance in high-speed applications, particularly in deep-groove ball bearings. The Unirex N3 variant is specifically recommended for applications where the DmN value (mean bearing diameter multiplied by rpm) exceeds 360,000.
