The Genuine BMW fuel injector kit is a set of six replacement injectors designed for N54 and N63 engines, featuring the latest updated Piezo high-pressure design. Direct injection engines benefit from better fuel atomization, but the high pressures required can lead to fuel system component failure over time. Clogged or malfunctioning injectors can manifest as engine misfires and a noticeable loss of power. This kit includes the six required fuel injectors along with decoupling elements and viton compression seals. The N54 engine's fuel injectors have an index number that is crucial for compatibility; these are Index 12 injectors, the most recent version, and can only be mixed with injectors having an index of 11 or higher. If your current injectors are index 10 or lower, all injectors must be replaced for optimal performance. **Important Installation Note:** Upon installing these new injectors, a calibration procedure is mandatory. The adjustment value must be read from each injector before installation and recorded for later use in the calibration process. A protective cap on the injector tip keeps it clean and the viton seal compressed; this cap should remain in place until just before installation, as the seal expands and requires special tools to compress for proper fitting.
