This Genuine Honda Manual Transmission Fluid is the original factory-fill fluid for Honda manual transmissions. It is formulated to protect transmission components from damage and provide optimal shift quality. The fluid is sold in a 1-quart container, and typically 2.5 to 3 quarts are needed to fill most Honda manual transmissions. Honda recommends replacing the transmission fluid at least every 30,000 miles under normal driving conditions. This part number, 08798-9031, supersedes previous Honda manual transmission fluids and is backward compatible with older formulations, such as part number 08798-9016. While specific vehicle fitment data is not available for this product on the website, it is the same fluid that came in your Honda from the factory. It is noted that Acura and Honda MTF fluids in the US share the same part number (08798-9031) and often have white caps, differing only in labels.
