The BMW Genuine Parts M Performance steering wheel is a premium interior upgrade. This steering wheel is crafted from Alcantara and leather and features a distinctive red 12-hour mark. It is compatible with both manual and automatic transmissions and fits both left and right-hand drive vehicles.

It features a prominent red 12-hour mark for quick orientation and is available for vehicles equipped with either manual or automatic transmissions, accommodating both left and right-hand drive configurations. This steering wheel is compatible with original M Sport steering wheel trims, as well as M Performance trims featuring Frozen/Matte Carbon with Alcantara or Leather (without heating switch). For vehicles without factory-installed shift paddles, such as the G8X models, a rear cover set (32305A29D29) is available to conceal the paddle mounting holes. It is important to note that while this steering wheel does not have an integrated heating function, it can be installed on vehicles that originally came with heated steering wheels (option S248A) without requiring any coding. The airbag is not included; it must be transferred from the original steering wheel. Standard sport line or base steering wheel trims are not compatible; only M Sport trims can be transferred. This M Performance steering wheel is specifically designed for a range of BMW models including the F40, F44 GranCoupe, G20, G21, G22, G23, G26 GranCoupe, G29 Z4, G42, G80 M3, G81 M3 Touring, G82 M4 CSL, G82 M4, and i4 G26 GranCoupe. It is crucial to verify fitment, as some models have specific exclusions. For example, it is not for vehicles equipped with Driving Assistant Professional (S5AUA).
