Show original supplier description

The BMW Genuine Part 51617184940 is a right-side V-strut bracket, also referred to as a radiator support tie bar bracket. This component is crucial for maintaining the structural integrity and optimal performance of your BMW's cooling system and front-end assembly. It works collectively with other parts to secure the radiator, condenser, and other essential front-end elements, ensuring proper airflow and protection. Radiator support components can fail due to impact damage from collisions, corrosion and rust from exposure to road salts and moisture, or vibration and stress fatigue from constant driving. Symptoms of failure can include deformation, weakening of metal components, and loosening of mounting points, which can lead to instability of the radiator and other supported parts. This genuine BMW part is a direct replacement for the original equipment, ensuring the same quality and fitment as the part installed at the factory. It is designed for a range of BMW X5 and X6 models, including the E70, E71, F15, and F16 chassis, as well as the M variants. Specific fitment includes various BMW X5 models from 2007-2016 (e.g., 3.0si, 4.8i, xDrive30i, xDrive35d, xDrive48i, M, xDrive35i, xDrive50i, sDrive35i, xDrive40e) and BMW X6 models from 2008-2015 (e.g., xDrive35i, xDrive50i, M).
