GenV eWG50 ProGate50 50mm Electronic External Wastegate

The Turbosmart GenV Electronic ProGate50 is a 50mm external wastegate that utilizes a patent-pending, fully electronic actuator system. Built upon the successful GenV ProGate50 architecture, this wastegate offers unparalleled control over boost pressure without the typical limitations of pneumatic systems. It eliminates the need for springs, hoses, and boost reference signals, allowing for precise boost control from zero to maximum directly through your laptop or tuning interface. Constructed with a Nitronic 60 valve guide and a high-temperature 347 SS body, the GenV ProGate50 is designed for superior heat handling and flow capacity, validated by CFD and bench testing. The electronic actuator is liquid-cooled and features user-adjustable position control. Integrated sensors include an analog 0-5V wastegate position sensor, an analog 0-5V actuator temperature sensor, and a digital (PWM) wastegate position sensor. Controlling the eGate requires a Dual Half-Bridge output from your ECU, similar to an electronic throttle body, though current demands may be higher. If your ECU does not support this, the Turbosmart BlackBox Electronic Wastegate Controller is available, offering control via PWM or CAN-based inputs. The eWG50 achieves full travel in 290ms (72mm/sec), providing response suitable for most real-world applications. The wastegate is supplied with a GenV SS316 valve seat, strap-type V-bands, inlet and outlet weld flanges, an un-terminated flying lead, and a hose tail & blank fitting kit. It is compatible with various Subaru models, including Forester GT (2001-2002), Forester XT (2003-2007 and 2008-current), Liberty & Legacy GT (2003-2008), and WRX/WRX STI models across several year ranges (1997-2000, 2001-2008, and 2009-current depending on turbo configuration).
