Overview

The Trick Flow GenX® 185 cylinder head is an assembled aluminum cylinder head designed for naturally aspirated GM LT1 engines. It features standard resolution CNC profiled combustion chambers for amplified performance and valve angles reduced to 21° from stock to improve piston-to-valve clearance and airflow. The Fast As Cast® runners mimic the performance of fully CNC-ported heads, offering high airflow rates without additional porting costs. These heads accept all stock sensors and fittings and are sold individually.

The Trick Flow® GenX® 185 cylinder head is engineered to deliver performance comparable to CNC-ported heads at a more accessible price point, making it an excellent upgrade for naturally aspirated GM LT1 engines. Its design incorporates standard resolution CNC profiled combustion chambers (54cc) to enhance performance and retains the factory compression ratio. The heads feature a 21° valve angle for both intake and exhaust, which increases piston-to-valve clearance and unshrouds the combustion chambers for improved airflow. Key specifications include a 2.020" intake valve diameter and a 1.600" exhaust valve diameter, with a maximum valve lift of 0.600". The intake runner volume is 185cc and the exhaust runner volume is 67cc, with rectangular intake ports and D-port exhaust ports. Construction materials include a durable aluminum cylinder head, chromoly steel retainers, and bronze valve guides, with ductile iron valve seats. The assembled heads come with intake and exhaust valves, valve springs, damper springs, retainers, locks, valve stem seals, rocker arm studs, and guideplates, ready for installation. These cylinder heads are sold individually.
