GenX 245 70cc Bare Aluminum Cylinder Head

The Trick Flow GenX 245 cylinder heads are a high-performance upgrade for GM LSX engines, offering significant improvements for extreme performance applications. These bare cast aluminum heads are fully CNC-machined, featuring altered valve angles from 15° to 13.5° to reduce valve shrouding and improve mid-lift airflow, along with increased rocker arm-to-valve cover clearance. Material has been added to the rocker arm mounting points for enhanced valvetrain stability at high RPMs. The spark plugs are repositioned within the CNC-profiled combustion chambers to boost mid-lift airflow and increase casting rigidity for extreme horsepower demands. The top-tier CNC Competition Ported runners are finished with a premium, high-resolution surface for maximum flow and performance. These heads are emissions-legal under CARB E.O. #D-747 for 1997-present GM vehicles with 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, and 6.0L engines. Key specifications include a 70cc combustion chamber volume, 245cc intake runner volume, and 80cc exhaust runner volume. The intake valve diameter is 2.080 inches, and the exhaust valve diameter is 1.600 inches. These heads utilize cathedral intake port shapes and oval exhaust port shapes with standard port locations. They feature heart-style combustion chambers and a centerbolt valve cover mounting style. Valve guides are included and made of bronze, while valve seats are un-machined and made of ductile iron. The Oiling style is through the pushrod, and they are not machined for O-rings or equipped with heat crossovers. These are bare castings and do not include intake valves, exhaust valves, valve springs, damper springs, retainers, locks, valve stem seals, rocker arm studs, rocker arms, rocker arm nuts, or guideplates. Important fitment notes indicate these cylinder heads are not designed as a stock replacement. They are exclusively for 6-bolt LSX-based engines with a minimum bore diameter of 4.125 inches. They must be used with roller rocker arms, and Harland Sharp SLS17 roller rocker arms are recommended.
