GFB DV+ Diverter Valve

The GFB DV+ T9358 is a high-performance diverter valve engineered to replace the often unreliable factory units found in many European vehicles, specifically select Mercedes, Ford, and Volvo models. Unlike other aftermarket solutions that replace the entire system, the DV+ strategically keeps the factory solenoid coil – which is praised for its fast ECU control – and replaces only the weak plastic valve parts with a robust anodized billet aluminum housing and a precisely machined brass piston. This design ensures superior reliability and strength, especially for engines with increased boost levels. The DV+ system utilizes GFB's unique "pilot-actuated" mechanism. This allows the factory solenoid to control airflow to a small passage, which then actuates the piston. This method ensures the valve opens and closes reliably even under high boost conditions, without exceeding the solenoid's capabilities. Furthermore, it provides progressive valve opening based on boost pressure, allowing it to open only as much as needed for optimal performance and resulting in sharper throttle response and faster boost recovery between gear shifts.
