Gin Turbocharger for L15 Engine

The 27WON Gin turbocharger represents a new generation of performance upgrades for the 1.5T L15 engine found in the 2022+ Honda Civic Si and Non-Si, 2023+ Acura Integra, and 2018-2022 Honda Accord. Engineered for significant power gains, the Gin turbo is capable of achieving over 330 WHP and 324 WTQ. It features optimized and enlarged compressor and turbine wheels compared to the OEM IHI unit (47mm vs 36.3mm inducer for compressor, 46.5mm vs 42mm inducer for turbine), which contribute to a fatter power band after ~3,250 RPM. The turbo also incorporates Anti-Surge technology with internal slots in the compressor cover to minimize air separation, promoting smoother airflow, faster spool, better drivability at lower RPMs, and enhanced longevity of internal bearing components. Customers have the choice between a cost-effective Journal Bearing (JB) CHRA, similar to the stock turbo, or a performance-oriented Ball Bearing (BB) CHRA. The BB option offers quicker spool due to less drag, handles abrupt loads better, and provides faster throttle response, making it ideal for aggressive street driving or track use. The JB option is a good cost-effective choice for those seeking more power without the highest performance demands. To fully utilize the potential of the Gin turbocharger, a custom tune is required for the 2018-2022 Honda Accord 1.5T and is highly recommended for other applications. 27WON has partnered with Innovative MotorWorks to provide KTuner maps, available as off-the-shelf Basemaps or custom e-tune options for both 91+ octane and E30 flex fuel. An upgraded clutch and 27WON 4 BAR MAP sensors are also recommended.
