The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE (Original Equipment) disc, requiring no modifications and working with OE calipers. It's a lightweight, high-performance upgrade that maintains factory bias and ABS efficiency. The lighter rotors reduce rotational and unsprung weight, improving acceleration and suspension response. The central hat is 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, while the disc is racing-spec cast iron with a curved vane design for optimal cooling. A floating mount system with 10 cadmium-plated alloy steel drive pins allows for axial and radial float, preventing noise when cold and promoting self-centering. Only the cast iron rotor needs replacement when worn. When combined with performance pads and high-temperature fluid, these rotors offer an effective solution for overheating or warping issues.
