Each Girodisc rotor weighs approximately 21.1 lbs compared to 24.6 lbs for the factory rotor, resulting in a substantial reduction of rotational and unsprung mass. The central hat is CNC-machined from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, while the friction ring is made from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron.
