GiroDisc Ferrari 458 Challenge Slotted Rear Rotors

The GiroDisc system reduces unsprung and overall vehicle weight while increasing ventilation and cooling capacity of the brake disc, all while maintaining original dimensions. This is achieved through a two-piece construction featuring a 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum hat and a cast iron disc with a curved vane design for optimal cooling. The floating mount system, with high-strength alloy steel drive pins and anti-noise spring clips, allows for heat expansion without noise and ensures the rotor self-centers between the pads. It's a direct replacement for OE discs, requiring no modifications, and is compatible with OE calipers and pads. GiroDisc rotors typically weigh 4-8 lbs less than their OE counterparts, improving acceleration, deceleration efficiency, and suspension performance due to reduced unsprung and rotational mass. The slotted design continuously cleans and refreshes the pad surface, maximizes friction, prevents contamination, lightens the disc, and maintains brake response in wet conditions.
