Glygoyle 68 Synthetic Compressor Oil

The Mobil Glygoyle 68 is a high-performance, fully synthetic gear, bearing, and compressor oil engineered to deliver exceptional efficiency, extended oil life, and robust equipment protection. Developed for demanding operational environments, it surpasses the performance limits of traditional synthetic lubricants and mineral oils. This compressor oil features a polyalkylene glycol (PAG) base oil formulation, providing a low pour point for excellent low-temperature fluidity. It offers exceptional EP/antiwear protection for critical components, a high level of micropitting protection for sensitive gear systems, and resistance against rust, corrosion, and foam buildup. The inherent lubricity of this fully synthetic lubricant, combined with a low traction coefficient, contributes to increased energy efficiency and reduced bulk oil/system temperatures. It also exhibits very good thermal and oxidative stability, minimizing sludge formation and deposits. In worm gears, it enables more torque transmission and can lower operating oil sump temperatures, leading to extended seal, oil, and gearbox life. For gas compressors, its limited solubility with hydrocarbons reduces lubricant dilution and enhances equipment protection. The oil boasts high VIs, ranging from 170 for ISO 68, ensuring a wide operating temperature range. While designed to be immiscible with hydrocarbon oils and potentially absorb more water, Mobil Glygoyle Series oils pass key rust tests (ASTM D665A, Bethlehem Steel rust test, DIN 51802 Emcor) and show good yellow metal compatibility (ASTM D130 1B rating). However, it is not recommended for use in areas where saltwater contamination is expected.
