Description

The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Rear Axle Assy is a meticulously remanufactured component designed for specific GM 1/2 Ton Suburban 2WD models from 1988 to 1991. This assembly utilizes a robust GM 10 Bolt 8.5-inch axle, featuring a 3.42 gear ratio and an open differential, suitable for 30 spline axles. All housings undergo hydro blasting for an OEM finish, and are inspected for surface wear and cracks. Tubes are straightened to OEM specifications. Critical components such as bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced 100%. Internal parts, including ring and pinion gears, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are also thoroughly inspected. The correct rolling torque is established using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and extended lifespan.
