The PPE 115030022 Air-To-Water Intercooler Kit upgrades 3.0L Duramax LM2 and LZ0 engines. It features an all-aluminum, bar-and-plate cooler core with durable cast-aluminum, TIG-welded end tanks, improving heat resistance and boost handling over factory plastic ends. The core is 2.4 times larger (140% increase) with efficient cooling fins in air and coolant passages. Fluid-dynamically optimized end tanks reduce air pressure drop by 77%, leading to smoother engine breathing and reduced turbo stress. Manufacturer testing showed up to a 30-degree reduction in intake air temperatures (IAT) compared to the factory cooler.
