The ATK HP73 Chrysler 360 Magnum Engine is a 360 cubic inch (5.9L) V8 engine built on an OE Magnum roller block from 1993-2001. It produces 320 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Key components include an OE cast crankshaft, OE 6.123-inch connecting rods, and hypereutectic pistons that provide a 9:1 compression ratio. It features a hydraulic roller camshaft with an OE Magnum grind, a double roller timing chain, and OE Magnum cast iron cylinder heads with 65cc chambers and 1.78/1.50 valves. The engine is equipped with steel 1.6 pedestal rocker arms, an OE front sump 5-quart oil pan, and a Melling standard volume oil pump. For fuel and ignition, it includes an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap dual plane intake manifold, a Pro Billet RTR distributor with an iron gear, an OE early water pump, a Quick Fuel 670 CFM vacuum secondary carburetor with electric choke, and a mechanical fuel pump. It uses Autolite #3923 spark plugs and 8mm spark plug wires. The engine requires conventional/non-synthetic 10W30 oil, has a spark plug gap of .035”, and operates on 89+ octane fuel. It is internally balanced, requiring an externally balanced torque converter. If a neutral balance converter is used, a B&M Flex Plate #10242 (externally balanced) is recommended.
