The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1837A is a remanufactured axle assembly designed for 1995-1999 GM Suburban 1500 models with 8.5-inch rear differentials. This assembly features a 3.42 gear ratio and a Posi Limited Slip Differential, providing enhanced traction and performance. Each Zumbrota Drivetrain Axle Assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. This includes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear on axle tubes and housings, ensuring they meet OEM specifications. All internal components, such as ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are inspected and tested. Crucially, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. Zumbrota utilizes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning, to restore housings to an OEM finish. The assembly is precisely set up with correct rolling torque established using inch-pound measurements for optimal setup and longevity, and correct gear backlash is set to ensure proper gear lubrication and quiet operation.
