Description

The Yukon Gear and Axle YPKGM8.5-S-30 is a standard open spider gear kit engineered to replace the spider gears in GM 8.5" and 8.6" differentials with 30 spline axles. Utilizing superior materials and manufacturing processes compared to original equipment, this kit aims to provide enhanced durability and longevity for your differential. The kit includes essential components for a full spider gear replacement: two side gears, two pinion gears, a cross pin shaft, a cross pin bolt, and spider gear thrust washers. This comprehensive set ensures that all necessary parts are on hand for a proper installation. It is important to note that this kit does not fit 8.6" carriers with casting numbers 1073 or 7875. Both 8.5" and 8.6" carriers were manufactured between 1999 and 2002. The 8.5" carrier is identifiable by two large openings, while the 8.6" carrier features one large and one smaller opening. Proper identification of your differential carrier is crucial for correct fitment.
