GM 8.6" Rear Axle Assembly 3.42 Ratio

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2041A is a remanufactured rear axle assembly specifically designed for GM 8.6" vehicles, including the 2000-2005 GM 1500 SUV, with a 3.42 gear ratio. This assembly is for 2WD models equipped with rear disc brakes and an open differential, and it does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts. Each axle assembly is rebuilt to high standards of precision and reliability. Zumbrota Drivetrain inspects all components for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Internal parts such as ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers are fully inspected and tested. To ensure longevity and quiet operation, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, with backlash set precisely. Axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications. Zumbrota utilizes a proprietary cleaning process involving hydro-blasting, sandblasting, and deep cleaning. Technical specifications include a 3.42 ratio, GM 10 Bolt 8.6 Inch Ring Gear diameter. It is noted to be without active brake control, with the ratio option GU6, and without Posi Traction.
