GM 9.5" 14-Bolt 4.10 Posi Traction Axle Assembly

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1956C is a remanufactured complete axle assembly engineered for GM 9.5-inch 14-bolt axles. This assembly boasts a 4.10 gear ratio and includes Posi Traction for improved grip and performance. Each axle assembly is meticulously rebuilt to stringent quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. The remanufacturing process involves thorough inspection of the housing for straightness, cracks, and wear, as well as 100% inspection of all internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Gears are set to optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and longevity. Backlash is adjusted to ensure proper gear lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota employs a proprietary hydro-blast rinse, sandblasting, and deep cleaning procedure for internal and external parts, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing. This specific assembly is for Semi-Float C-Clip style axles, is compatible with GT5 ratio options, and is designed without Quadrasteer. It does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts. The intended application is for 2001-2005 GM 1505 models with 8-lug wheels.
