It is a direct-fit replacement for the OEM 212-degree Fahrenheit thermostat, fitting into the original thermostat housing.

The Lingenfelter GM Gen V DI V8 & V6 160 Degree Thermostat offers a performance upgrade for compatible GM direct injection engines. This thermostat opens at 160 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), providing a significant reduction from the stock 212-degree Fahrenheit (100-degree Celsius) unit. It is designed as a direct replacement for the OEM thermostat and fits within the original thermostat housing (part number 12657137, not included). Performance gains have been verified through engine and chassis dynamometer testing. The installation is straightforward, making it an easy upgrade for enthusiasts looking to optimize their engine's thermal management and unlock potential power increases. Vehicle applications include: C7 Corvette (2014-18), C7 ZO6 Corvette (2015-18), Camaro ZL1 (2017-18), Sierra/Silverado (2014-18), and Suburban/Yukon XL/Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade (2015-2018). Compatible GM direct injection engines are: LT4 6.2L V8 (2015-18), LT1 6.2L V8 (2014-18), L86 6.2L V8 (2014-18), L83 5.3L V8 (2014-18), LV1 4.3L V6 (2014-18), and LV3 4.3L V6 (2014-18).
