The GM Genuine Parts Fuel Injection Throttle Body is an OE replacement part designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous standards by General Motors. Located on the intake manifold, this component contains the throttle plate(s) that regulate the airflow into the engine. It is compatible with Throttle Body Injection (TBI) or Central Fuel Injection (CFI) systems and houses the fuel injector(s) in those configurations. This throttle body requires programming and/or special setup procedures. GM Service Information details the necessary procedures and special tools to guarantee proper operation in the vehicle. It helps provide the necessary airflow for the correct fuel/air mixture, allows for quick throttle response, and assists in cold engine starts. The part meets or exceeds Original Equipment Manufacturer specifications and features a rectangular connector shape with a female connector gender and 8 blade-type terminals. This throttle body is specifically designed to fit the following vehicles: 2002-2007 Saturn Vue, 2004-2006 Chevrolet Malibu, 2005-2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, 2005-2006 Pontiac Pursuit, 2005-2006 Saturn Ion, and the 2006 Chevrolet HHR.
