In addition to owning a successful aerospace manufacturing company for years, Wayne was an avid racer. He has always modified engines, and has raced everything—boats, motorcycles, even airplanes. Wayne was very competitive in Grand National boat racing and began having issues with the pistons he was using. After trying every piston on the market, he could not find a manufacturer that could meet his needs. Wayne re-envisioned what a next gen piston manufacturer looked like and birthed RaceTec pistons.

A few years into retirement, Wayne saw how the piston industry was changing—in his mind, not for the better. He envisioned a smaller, more personalized company. Multiple state of the art three, four and five axis CNC machines were ordered, tooled up and made ready for production. RaceTec™ Pistons was born!
