GM Magnum F 6-Speed Manual Transmission

The Tremec GM Magnum F Transmission TUET16362 is a 6-speed manual transmission built upon TREMEC’s TR6060/Magnum architecture, providing enhanced performance for enthusiasts. It is designed as a replacement for T56 transmissions in 1998-2002 GM F-bodies, offering improved durability and a reliable alternative to scarce T56 parts. This transmission features a shifter location optimized for LS1-powered 1998-2002 F-bodies and similar applications. It is also suitable for thirdgen F-bodies, LT1-powered 5th gens, LS-swapped late models, and sport compact vehicles like Supras and RX7s. The Magnum F's shifter position is situated between the standard Magnum and Magnum XL, often providing an ideal fit. Internally, the Magnum F incorporates robust componentry found in high-performance OEM vehicles. It boasts increased face-width on all gears, double and triple cone synchronizers, reinforced main case webbing, and provisions for a cooler circuit. The shifter mechanism delivers the precise and communicative feel characteristic of all Magnum transmissions. This transmission has a 700 lb-ft torque capacity, a 26-spline input shaft, and a 31-spline output shaft. The gear ratios are 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63. Fitment includes a direct fit for 1998-2002 Camaro/Trans Am models, though a 31-spline slip yoke is required. It is also an easy swap for 2004-2006 GTO models, requiring a 1-piece driveshaft and a 31-spline yoke. The transmission is also suitable for custom builds and swaps.
