GM-Style Big Brake Kit

The Trail-Gear rear disc brake kit offers a robust and straightforward solution for upgrading your vehicle's braking system. Engineered with three primary goals in mind – strength, ease of installation, and completeness – this kit provides a significant enhancement over stock drum brakes. At its core, the kit utilizes 3/8" CNC laser-cut caliper brackets secured with grade 10.9 bolts, ensuring durability and a precise fit. It incorporates larger GM-style calipers, which are shipped fully loaded for immediate use, and custom-made GM-style vented rotors designed specifically for this application. To ensure a seamless connection, DOT-approved brake lines are included, featuring one end that fits the GM calipers and the other that attaches directly to your OEM Toyota brake lines, eliminating the need for new fittings. Installation of this kit requires a 2 lb. residual valve or a master cylinder with a 1" bore, as many Pickups and 4Runners already feature this upgraded component. Full-color installation instructions are provided to guide you through the process. It is important to note that wheel spacers may be necessary for 15" wheels to ensure adequate clearance with the calipers.
