The Speedway Motors Universal GM Tilt Steering Column offers a comfortable and adjustable driving experience for hot rods and muscle cars. Its "GM" designation refers to the electrical connection type and steering shaft spline, making it adaptable to various project vehicles beyond GM, such as Dodge and Ford, with minor wiring adjustments and the use of a GM-specific steering wheel adapter. The column features a 2-inch OD housing compatible with standard mounts and a 1-inch DD aftermarket output shaft for easy connection to U-joints or rag joints. This tilt column boasts a five-position tilt head that provides 30 degrees of total adjustment (20 degrees up, 10 degrees down) from straight, allowing for optimal driver comfort and facilitating easier ingress and egress. The bright chrome-plated housing, along with chrome-plated control levers for the turn signal, tilt, shifter, and hazard lights, enhances interior aesthetics.
