Description

Ring materials, coatings, and tension are optimized to reduce friction and extend life. The compression rings have a barrel-faced contact area for efficient compression and a CNC-controlled gap chamfer to reduce blow-by. Intermediate rings use a reverse twist design for better groove side sealing and taper race machining. The CP-20 oil ring assemblies include a 20-degree ear angle for a superior side seal against the cylinder wall and a special chemical polish on the expander for enhanced oil drain back.
