Go Fast Bits VTA Blow-Off Valve for 1.2/1.4 TSI Engines

The Go Fast Bits (GFB) T9430 VTA is a blow-off valve engineered specifically for late-model Audi, VW, Skoda, and SEAT vehicles featuring 1.2 and 1.4 TSI engines. These particular engines are factory-equipped without any diverter valve, a design choice that results in turbo compressor surge whenever the throttle is closed after boosting. While the intake system may be acoustically tuned to minimize the fluttering sound of compressor surge, it does not address the underlying pressure pulses. The GFB VTA addresses this by reintroducing a blow-off valve into the 1.2/1.4 TSI system, thereby eliminating compressor surge to safeguard the turbocharger and delivering the distinct "whoosh" sound upon throttle release. This VTA valve clips directly onto the turbo's charge piping, replacing a short plastic joiner with a billet CNC machined section. The kit includes a boost tee and vacuum hose for sourcing a vacuum signal from a manifold vacuum port. The VTA utilizes pilot-actuated operation, which allows for progressive opening and closing of the piston. This patented design leads to improved throttle response and drivability by venting only the necessary amount of air to prevent pressure spikes. Furthermore, the GFB VTA replaces the factory's plastic components with precision CNC machined metal parts and a durable elastomer piston seal, ensuring it can withstand significant boost pressure without leaking or blowing open.
