Gold Valve Cartridge Fork Emulator Kit

This kit directly addresses the limitations of fixed orifice forks by introducing tunable valves that sit atop the damping rods and are secured by the main springs. By installing the FEGV 2901 Gold Valve Cartridge Emulator, damping rod forks can achieve performance comparable to that of well-tuned cartridge forks. This upgrade offers complete tunability for all conditions and rider preferences, allowing for a customized suspension response. The kit includes both the emulators and the necessary mounting adapters for installation. Installation involves disassembling the forks and removing the damping rods. While some forks can be disassembled without specialized tools, stubborn bolts may require a damping rod holding tool. The emulator is then placed on top of the damping rod, ensuring it covers the opening completely. If an Emulator Adapter is required for the specific application, it is installed first. The main fork spring then holds the emulator in place during reassembly. Some damping rod types may require machining, and it's noted that most rebound adjusters will be disabled, along with the removal or disabling of stock valves and anti-dive systems.
