Governor Spring Kit

The BD Diesel 1040185 Governor Spring Kit is engineered to enhance throttle response and unlock significant power increases for the Bosch P7100 fuel pump in 1994-1998 Dodge 12-valve Cummins engines. This kit allows for an increase in engine speed to either 3,000 or 4,000 rpm, reducing the need for gear shifts and providing a noticeable boost in horsepower and torque. This kit features six different ramp designs for the fuel stop plate, which controls the amount of fuel delivered by the pump. This results in power gains ranging from 30 to 150 hp and torque increases from 70 to 300 lb.-ft. A calibrated boost tube orifice is also included to optimize turbocharger performance. Installation of this kit requires disassembly of the fuel pump and is not intended for a home installation. It is crucial that all modifications are performed by a qualified pump technician with specific P7100 training. Failure to do so could result in damage, excessive heat or smoke, or poor performance.
