Description

The VIS Racing OEM Style carbon fiber trunk provides a refined, high-tech upgrade for 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and STI 4-door sedan models. The trunk is crafted using authentic 3K twill weave carbon fiber and finished with a marine-grade epoxy resin, which provides superior resistance to UV exposure and thermal expansion compared to standard clear coats. Because this component is significantly lighter than the factory steel trunk, you must remove the original trunk springs or struts. Using the stock springs—which are tensioned for heavier steel—can cause the trunk to snap open violently, potentially resulting in stress cracks or damage to the hinges. This unit is a JDM-spec part, meaning the pre-set mounting holes do not align with standard US license plates; you will need to drill an additional hole for proper plate mounting.
