The Ksport Gravel Rally Coilovers for the 1998-2002 Toyota Corolla are engineered to excel in the challenging conditions of gravel rally racing. This system is built to absorb impacts from uneven roads, offering a robust solution for performance enthusiasts. Featuring a sophisticated monotube design, these coilovers provide 36 levels of simultaneous compression and rebound damping adjustment, allowing drivers to meticulously fine-tune their suspension for optimal handling and comfort. The Gravel Rally kit includes specially designed extended springs, ranging from 250mm to 270mm, and an extended cylinder length with a greater piston stroke to effectively manage rough terrain. Ride height can be adjusted within +/- 30mm of the original equipment specification. Construction details include large 55mm shock bodies for increased oil capacity and cooling efficiency, beneficial under high-stress situations. For McPherson suspension types, an inverted shock design is utilized to move the oil chamber away from heat sources and reduce unsprung weight, improving handling and responsiveness. Top and lower mounts are made from heavy-duty steel for McPherson applications, while wishbone/multi-link setups use aluminum mounts. A hardened rubber pillowball is standard on McPherson applications to reduce noise, while also enhancing steering feel and response; some applications may also offer camber adjustment. Most components, including mounts, collars, and spring perches, are crafted from lightweight yet durable 6061-T6 billet aluminum. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for rust resistance. Dust boots with integrated bump stops protect the damper seals. Ksport notes that these kits are built to order, requiring an estimated 2-3 weeks for production and delivery. Due to the extreme nature of gravel rally racing, these kits do not come with a warranty.
