The Outfront Motorsports “Grocery Getter” Long Rod Forged Shortblock is a performance engine built for demanding applications. This semi-closed deck EJ257 short block is engineered with forged internals to handle significant power. It is rated to support up to 575 BHP, making it a robust foundation for a high-performance build. The engine assembly includes seasoned EJ257 case halves, ensuring a reliable starting point. Forged pistons are standard (with options available), paired with Outfront Motorsports' Tuff H Beam +2mm long rods for improved stroke and performance. Complementing these are King Performance bearings and a durable 2017+ Subaru 2.5L nitride treated STI crankshaft. The assembly is completed with included rear covers, rear seal, and pin plugs. Outfront Motorsports emphasizes quality control in their assembly process, with all blocks bored and honed using torque plates.
